Thermal and acoustic comfort thanks to radiant sails

Our Plaforad Q product consists of radiant islands, also called radiant sails.

Radiant sails serve an aesthetic purpose in addition to their primary thermal and acoustic functions.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

Thermal comfort

Radiant islands guarantee excellent thermal comfort thanks to their radiant effect.

A 12 mm diameter copper coil is applied above each metal panel, housed in aluminum profiles that act as thermal diffusers.

The islands are connected by quick-connect flexible joints, which link the activations to the main supply and return lines.

Radiant sails transmit heat and cooling across both surfaces, ensuring very high efficiency in both summer and winter.

Comfort is guaranteed by the absence of air movement, creating a very pleasant heating and cooling sensation.

Acoustic comfort

The islands are suspended from the ceiling using adjustable steel cable hangers and are installed lower than the floor slab.

The sails ensure excellent acoustic performance by reducing reverberation within rooms, especially in large spaces.

Radiant islands are made of micro-perforated sheet steel with a special acoustic fabric veil.

The micro-perforation on both sides captures acoustic waves, which are then absorbed and neutralized.

Aesthetic appeal

The panels can be made in various sizes (up to a maximum of 3000×1000 cm) and in all RAL and NCS colors.

Radiant islands are not only functional but also harmonize with the space they occupy.
